7-Eleven launches mobile loyalty program

DALLAS — The program gives customers a free beverage for every six purchased, no matter the size.

DALLAS — Customers can earn rewards using 7-Eleven’s new 7Rewards program on their mobile phones, according to a press release.

The program gives customers a free beverage for every six purchased, noted the release. The initiative works with every hot and cold beverage the company sells in a 7-Eleven cup.

“7-Eleven is a beverage destination for millions of Americans, with over 60 percent of our customers including a beverage with each purchase,” said Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation, in the release. “We know that millennials like to have plenty of choices and, hands down, 7Rewards offers more beverage variety than any other rewards program.”

Customers must use the mobile app to participate in the loyalty program, reported the release. The app is available in the iTunes App Store or Google Play.

A cashier will scan the barcode in the app with every drink purchase, stated the release, and the app will notify customers when they have received the free cup.

The program works with any size drink and refills, too, shared the release. If a customer purchases a small and large cup at the same time when it is time for the free beverage, the free cup will be the one with the greatest value.
