TUCSON, AZ— Mister Car Wash locations across the country contributed to the company’s first annual Paws-a-thon fundraising campaign, raising a total of $48,565 in donations for local Humane Societies and Rescue League organizations, according to a company press release.

Mister Car Wash is the second largest conveyor carwash chain in the nation with 65 sites in seven states.

The Aug. 16 release said customers purchased “paws” during the inaugural campaign which were then displayed on Mister’s carwash walls.

Area Manager Bill Smith of Houston and his 8 stores earned the “Paws-a-thon Cup” this year for the highest contribution among all the areas.

“We are pleased with the impact our customers and locations were able to make this first year to help animals.” said John Lai, Chief Operating Officer.
