DE PERE, Wis. — Cleaning Systems, Inc. (CSI) announced the establishment of a Key Account Partnership (KAP) chemical supply agreement between CSI-Lustra Car Care Products and Terrible Herbst Oil, Inc. dba Terrible’s Car Wash based in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to a press release.
Terrible’s Car Wash operates over 40 wash facilities throughout the Southwest, with the majority being in the greater Las Vegas market, the release continued.
Founded in 1959, the company now operates over 100 gas stations and convenience stores in Nevada, California and Arizona, the release added, and it is in the beginning steps of an extensive carwash expansion.
“We are very proud to have been selected to fill this important role for such a great carwash operator,” stated Dave Krause, president/CEO of CSI. “Terrible’s Car Washes are known nationwide and have a great reputation throughout our industry.”
Scott Horner, vice president of operations for Terrible Herbst Oil, spearheaded an extensive chemical comparison and evaluation program between national chemical manufactures, beginning in the fall of 2016, before ultimately selecting Lustra Car Care Products as their new chemical company, the release noted.
“We feel that we did a thorough vetting process to ensure we made the best chemical program choice for our growing fleet of washes moving forward,” said Horner. “The CSI-Lustra opportunity brought the most to support our goals, [and] they have a real commitment to customer service and innovation for the future. We believe CSI will be a great partner for many, many years.”
Western Auto Wash & Specialty Wash Systems, Las Vegas, is CSI’s strategic partner in Nevada and is supporting the KAP with comprehensive logistics, site conversion and equipment installation activities, the release stated.
Jim Provencher, president/owner of Western, has worked with Terrible’s Car Washes for years and is also providing a variety of services to Terrible’s related to the company’s site expansion activities, the release concluded.
