HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. — Crossroads Soft Cloth Car Wash & Detail installed a charging station for electric vehicles, according to Highland Park Patch.
The new ChargePoint station was supplied by Caron Day Automotive, which is based in Riverwoods, stated the article.
“Many of our clients have EVs, and the new charger has been very popular with our customers since its installation,” said Earl Slavin, owner of Crossroads, in the article.
The station will permit customers with electric vehicles to charge for free while the cars are being detailed at the carwash, reported the article.
Slavin noted in the article that the charging station is another step for Crossroads toward being more eco-friendly and better serving its customers.
“We use environmentally friendly and biodegradable chemicals in our cleaning processes, and our goal is to provide maximum vehicle protection with minimal environmental impact,” stated Slavin in the article.
