BEAVER DAM, Ky. — According to www.ocmonitor.com, the engine of a truck at Super Wash carwash caught fire, spreading to the bay of the carwash itself.
Beaver Dam Fire Chief Chris Shephard stated that according to Dowell Taylor, the owner of the 2002 Dodge truck, after he pulled into the automatic carwash bay, he heard rattling and popping underneath the truck’s hood before smoke and flames poured out of it, the article continued.
The car fire soon spread to the carwash bay and broke through the roof, causing substantial damage to both the truck and the bay, the article noted; fire damaged only one bay, but heat from the fire caused damage to other bays at the wash.
Taylor was not injured, the article stated.
The cause of the fire is unknown, the article concluded.
