Each year, Professional Carwashing & Detailing’s (PC&D) editors research conveyor carwash chains in the U.S. to formulate a top 50 list determined by the largest number of locations. As the list evolves, we track growth, mergers and acquisitions as well as other trends that have become of high importance to the industry.
We understand that this list receives a lot of industry attention and, as a result, when we’re researching it each year, we take it very seriously and make every effort we can to ensure its credibility and accuracy.
But, we can’t do it alone. So, in this month of thanks and in addition to thanking our advertisers and readers for their support of PC&D, I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in helping to make this year’s Top 50 List of U.S. Conveyor Carwash Chains possible.
An integral part of gathering this information each year falls to you — carwash owners and operators, our readers. Several months before this list is published, our editors call out to owners and operators for submissions. This year, similar to the last few years, resulted in a significant number of submissions.
Additionally, over the years, our team has been able to develop relationships with many of the carwash chains on the list that are considered the “regulars” each year.
We thank this group of readers for providing feedback each year with prompt and detailed responses, and we congratulate those that made it onto the 2018 list.
After receiving and validating the information we receive for the list, we turn to a network of industry professionals to further help validate it. We are grateful to these industry partners as well. This special group is a microcosm of the industry, which is known for being helpful, professional, informative and — sometimes with this list — patient as the research evolves.
