Notable Acts of Charity
Even during its rapid expansion, Splash Car Wash has continued to maintain its commitment to the communities it serves. Since its first fundraising event in 1985 with the Alibis of Greenwich, Splash Car Wash has raised over $3 million for many local organizations, charities and associations throughout Connecticut and New York. Splash handles requests from over 400 charitable organizations each year. Every holiday we donate 10% of our holiday gift certificate sales from all our locations to 50 different charities. We have worked with the Bridgeport Rescue Mission every Thanksgiving for the past 10 years by donating 150 turkeys to families that do not have the means to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner. This tradition was expanded into its new regions with 50 turkeys donated in Syracuse and 75 on Long Island. Mark Curtis has run the Grace for Vets (GFV) organization for the past 10 years with many of the Splash team staffing the GFV booth at the carwash trade shows around the country. Splash gives free carwashes to all veterans and active-duty personnel every Veterans Day and has for the past 25 years.
Community Impacts
Splash helps over 400 organizations a year. From kids who are in crisis to helping to end homelessness to making many wishes come true for children through Make a Wish — the list of how Splash helps so many in its communities goes on and on. Splash has employees who have family members who struggle with a disease or disability and we will make sure that we focus on that charity for their location to donate in any way we can. Area schools — their athletic teams and student organizations — are always a part of Splash’s fundraising efforts, which Splash conducts enlisting the participation of the students in the events.
