FORT BRANCH, Ind. — Police have caught the “air freshener bandits,” according to 14 News (WFIE).
Fort Branch Car Wash was robbed by the bandits five different times, stated the article, with the most recent robbery occurring at 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 30.
The police reported that the couple pulled up to the carwash’s vending machine, the article continued, and the man used a coat hanger to break into the machine and take whatever he could grab.
An officer then showed up on the scene, added the article.
James Cowan, 43 years old, was charged with theft, reported the article, and Stacey Ramsey, 48 years old, was charged with assisting a criminal.
The article noted that the bandits are currently being held at the Gibson County Jail.
