COLONIE, N.Y. — There may be no snow on the ground in Albany, N.Y., but this is still the busiest time of the year for carwashes, according to the article.
Assistant Manager at Hoffman’s, Scott Roberts, said, “Salt all over the vehicles tears up the clear coat, eats away at any unprotected metal, so you always want to get your car washed during the wintertime.”
Hoffman’s takes steps to ensure its employees warmth during this cold season, said Roberts. “We do try to have our employees work inside the base as much as possible to keep them warm. We have to open and close the doors at least in the morning when it’s slower because our cloths will grow ice on them.”
The carwash also emphasizes organization and efficiency, to make sure there is no wasted time spent outside.
